Refund policy

This policy applies to professional audit and advisory engagements with Byteautomate for regulatory readiness work for neobanks. Website prices are informational only; binding fees appear in a written proposal.

Eligibility

Refunds apply only to fees paid under a signed proposal. Free discovery calls and unpaid enquiries are not refundable because no fee is charged.

Timeframe

Refund requests must be sent in writing to hello@byteautomate.digital within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request, unless the proposal sets a different window.

Full refund

A full refund of prepaid fees is available if Byteautomate cancels the engagement before kick-off for reasons within our control, or if you cancel in writing before any kick-off workshop and before we have started document review.

Partial refund

If work has started — including document intake, interviews scheduled or held, or evidence sampling begun — prepaid fees may be refunded on a pro-rata basis after deducting fees for work performed and non-recoverable third-party costs agreed in the proposal.

Non-refundable items

The following are non-refundable once incurred: completed workshop days, delivered written findings already issued to you, and travel booked at your request with prior approval.

Deposits

Where a proposal requires a deposit to reserve dates, the deposit is credited to the final invoice. If you cancel after dates are reserved but before kick-off, we may retain up to 30% of the deposit to cover scheduling loss, unless the proposal states otherwise.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule a confirmed workshop once with at least five business days’ notice at no additional fee. Later reschedules may incur a rescheduling fee stated in the proposal. Cancellations follow the full or partial refund rules above.

No-shows

If key participants fail to attend a confirmed workshop without timely notice, that session is treated as delivered for billing purposes.

Work already started

Time spent on document review, interviews, sampling, and drafting is billable. Refunds cannot unwind completed analysis already shared with you.

Purchased materials

We do not sell physical products. Any templates or written deliverables produced under an engagement remain subject to the proposal’s intellectual property terms and are not returnable as goods.

Refund process and timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of written approval. Bank processing times may add several days.

Refund method

Refunds are issued via the same channel used for payment (for example bank transfer). We do not offer cash refunds at our office.

Exceptions

If a proposal includes a different refund schedule for a fixed-fee or phased readiness programme, that proposal prevails for that engagement.
